Jimmy Buffett Files for Tiger Blood Trademark
According to TMZ, Jimmy Buffett has filed papers to trademark the term “Tiger Blood” for vodka and energy drinks:
“According to documents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and obtained by TMZ — Margaritaville Enterprises LLC, owned by the singer, filed two applications on March 15 to trademark “Tiger Blood” for use in vodka and energy drinks.Last month Charlie Sheen quoted from “A Pirate Looks at Forty” in an interview, saying “love me some Jimmy Buffett.”
As TMZ previously reported — Tiger Blood is Charlie Sheen’s codename for his mangosteen-infused fruit smoothie, Xango juice.
Interesting … if Jimmy’s application goes through, Charlie won’t be able to capitalize on what he made famous — but then again, there’s more to life than vodka and energy drinks.”

Jimmy Buffett falls off Sydney concert stage
One minute he was strumming and singing. The next he was unconscious.
Jimmy Buffett, 64, had just finished crooning, "It's been a lovely cruise, I'm sorry it's ended," when he fell off the stage at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia, Tuesday night and was rushed to hospital with a head injury.
He is in stable condition at St. Vincent's Hospital, reports TMZ.
Officials at the concert at the Hordern Pavilion asked audience members to leave the auditorium as Buffett stayed on the floor in front of the first row of seating waiting for paramedics and an ambulance to arrive.
An audience member told the Daily Telegraph of Sydney that it appeared Buffett struck his head and was bleeding.
Another audience member in the front row told TMZ that Buffett was unconscious for five to 10 minutes and that he had a gash on his head. Paramedics arrived 15 minutes later.
Audience member Dan Bateman, 30, told The Daily Telegraph that Buffett fell face first off the stage. "We were in the 10th row and it looked like he did a massive face plant after his encore and pretty much didn't get up,'' Bateman said.
"We were told to leave the premises. No one really wanted to leave because everyone was anxious to know if he survived the fall. Everyone was pretty horrified.''

Jimmy Buffett was rushed to a hospital in Australia today after he fell off the stage during a concert ... and it appears flashing lights from the lighting director may have triggered the fall that left him unconscious ... TMZ has learned.
TMZ has confirmed the 64-year-old singer was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in Sydney after he crashed into a large gap in front of the stage during the show's finale at Hordern Pavilion.
An audience member in the front row tells TMZ it appeared Buffett was unconscious for about 5-10 minutes and that he had a huge gash on his head. Paramedics arrived 15 minutes later.
Sean Fogarty, who was also front and center, tells TMZ Jimmy was doing an encore at the end of the concert called "Lovely Cruise" and walking along the edge of the stage when the lighting person splashed "a huge flash of light" along the stage, making it impossible to see and he fell. Fogarty says the next thing he knew he heard Buffett's head strike the metal on his way to the floor.
Another audience member who was close to the stage, tells TMZ a slightly different story .... that it looked as if Buffett was about to jump off the stage to shake hands when he misjudged the jump and fell. The audience member also says he saw Buffett's head strike a metal strip on his way down.
The light flash lasted 10 seconds and no one even knew Buffett had fallen until the flashing ceased.
We're told doctors at St. Vincent's are still assessing his injury.
